(& hello from Brighton!)

I’m writing this from a very sunny Brighton, on the south coast of England where I’ve been staying with a couple of college friends for the past 2 nights.

If you’ve never been to Brighton, it’s the epitome of English holidays – pebble beaches, ice cream stands everywhere, children’s carousels playing ‘oh we do like to be beside the seaside’ and every shop selling buckets and spades! Mix this with high-end restaurants, swanky rooftop bars and super-cute cafes – and an Aussie Walkabout pub that’s been here forever! For people who have done the usual London exploration, you should definitely add Brighton to the ‘must-visit’ list!

OK, so if I had a dollar for every time I heard ‘I just never know what to post’ – I’d be living in the Maldives by now… So I thought I’d give you a list of ideas for you to use this week which will help you to increase reach and engagement:

10 Easy Content Ideas:

1. Travel Tips and Hacks
Share useful travel tips and hacks that your audience will find valuable. This can include packing tips, how to get the best flight deals, or navigating through airports.

2. Destination Highlights
Post about popular travel destinations, including interesting facts, must-see attractions, and hidden gems. Use vibrant photos (preferably your own) and engaging captions to capture attention.

3. Client Testimonials
Share testimonials and stories from satisfied clients. Include photos from their trips (with permission) and highlight the memorable experiences they had thanks to your services. DON’T just put the testimonial onto a Canva template and post it! This is the fastest way to get someone to scroll on by – you MUST give the whole story, preferably in a video with the testimonial behind you (use the green-screen filter) and tell the viewer exactly what the brief was, and how you found the client the perfect holiday, and why it was so amazing.

4. Behind-the-Scenes
Show a behind-the-scenes look at your travel agency. This could be a day in the life of a travel agent, how you plan trips, or the process of booking travel experiences for clients. People love feeling like they’re getting a glimpse into your life – but it also shows all the hard work you put in and why they should be using you instead of just booking direct.

5. Travel Quizzes and Polls
Create interactive quizzes or polls related to travel preferences, such as favourite holiday activities, dream destinations, or travel bucket lists. This encourages audience participation and engagement.

6. Travel Inspiration Quotes
Post inspiring travel quotes paired with beautiful travel images. This type of content is highly shareable and can resonate deeply with travel enthusiasts. Just don’t overdo it, and write in the caption WHY the quote has meaning for you. NEVER post a quote without a caption.

Create a simple meme that is relatable to your ideal audience

7. Live Q&A Sessions
Host live Q&A sessions on Instagram or Facebook where you answer travel-related questions from your audience. Promote the session in advance and encourage followers to tune in and participate. Now, I know you’re all reading this and saying ‘oh hell no, I could never do that!’ but video is always going to get you the best reach and engagement. The first few times you do it, you will feel awkward and it will probably suck…but the more you do, the better you get – I promise!

8. Local Food and Cuisine
Highlight the local cuisine of different destinations. Share photos, recipes, and stories about unique food experiences from around the world.

9. Travel Challenges
Start a travel-themed challenge, such as a photo contest where followers share their best travel photos with a specific hashtag. This can increase engagement and foster a sense of community.

10. Travel News and Updates
Keep your audience informed with the latest travel news, such as new airline routes, travel restrictions, or updates on popular tourist destinations. This positions you as a knowledgeable and reliable source of information.

All of these ideas should be easy to create but can have a big impact in your reach and engagement. Don’t forget to mix up formats (Reels, static, carousels) and always post Stories every day.

If you struggle with your content and/or don’t have the time to manage it yourself, simply reply to this email and let’s chat about how I can help you.

In the meantime…I’m going to get my last fix of Brighton before heading ‘home’ to my parents’… Next stop is Jersey for a few nights! Have you ever been? Let me know your recommendations if so!

What’s a trip to a beach without an ice-cream!

Have a great week!
